What happens when we spend so much time pouring all of our love in to others… that we forget to pour any in to ourselves?
In this week’s Focus Friday I explore what the last few weeks of my life have looked like and how they have left me feeling a little depleted. On the other side of it all, however, it has only reaffirmed my belief that we cannot serve others wholly if we do not in fact serve ourselves first.
This week’s episode is all the about the “shoulds” we feel we must live by, and why we all could benefit from ditching them once and for all.
In This Episode You’ll Learn:
Why courage doesn’t exist without vulnerability [ 2:30 ]
When we are natural caretakers, we often times neglect ourselves [ 4:20 ]
Why how we feel matters and what to do about it [ 6:50 ]
Questions to ask yourself about your own path right now [ 9:00 ]
What it means to live through the lens of “should” [ 11:00 ]
My own personal story that gave me the opportunity to fill my cup up [ 12:30 ]
The importance of serving ourselves first [ 15:20 ]
Soul Shifting Quotes:
